Nathan Lavertue

Nathan Lavertue is running for another term on the Stanford Town Board. First elected in 2021 to a full four-year term, Nathan was later appointed by the Board to fill a vacant seat for one year, and will now seek a one-year term. Over his time in office, Nathan has focused on road safety and infrastructure, helped guide the town’s Comprehensive Plan to completion in 2023 and now toward implementation, served as the Board’s liaison to the local school district, and supported the Recreation Commission’s work expanding youth and community programming — all while staying accessible and responsive to residents, and making sure Stanford has a seat at the table in county and state conversations that affect the town.

“I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together these past five years. From securing over $2 million to repair and improve more than six miles of state roadway, to finally completing a ten-year plan for our town after a 40-year delay, to being recognized with the NYAOT Gold Towns of Excellence Award for our commitment to transparency and community engagement. These accomplishments matter to me personally, not just professionally: my wife, Geneva, and I are raising two young kids here, Lux and Pax, and issues like the future of early childhood education in our district matter to our family just as much as they do to so many others in town. I want to keep building a Stanford that works for young families and longtime residents alike.”
